A couple of days ago, I was talking to a friend about various ghost stories when I remembered my trips to Pleasant Grove Cemetery outside of Sulphur Springs.
I first visited the cemetery in the summer of 2005. One of the guys in our paranormal group had found the cemetery nestled in the woods beside a small lake. Three of the guys on our team set out for the cemetery to check it out.
At first it was like every other investigation; we set up equipment. We had two video cameras, a couple of tape recorders and three EMF detectors. The cemetery is only about two acres and there is only one way in or out.
The investigation had been going on for about two hours all three of us where standing about half way down the north fence when I saw a small light about the brightness of a candle. The light hovered about 4 feet off the ground for for a few seconds. Then i turned to look directly at the light, it moved to the right and went behind a large oak tree. We all went to see what it was and found nothing.
Later that night, all three of us were standing in the middle of the cemetery. We were all facing each other talking. all of a sudden the feeling of electricity paced through our bodies. It is a feeling like no other. We all stood there facing each other not saying a word.
When we reviewed the evidence from this night, we had captured an EVP. The EVP sounded like a female saying,”I’m here,” or “right here.” I went back to the cemetery during the daytime to make sure no one else could have been there.
