In the Middle of the night, if you go for a walk down the street, you could see a family walking toward you. The Dad carries a chainsaw, the kid has a kitchen knife and the mom is carrying something wrapped in a blanket.

Gibsland

Old Gibs-Reno House-

My family owns the old Gibbs-Reno house for which the town is named. I spent many nights there as a child. One night I was awakened for no reason at all and found myself face to face with a translucent mist roughly in the shape of a person. I don’t know how but I felt like it was looking at me as an intruder. I was so scared I couldn’t move or look away. It slowly moved across the room and melted away into a wall. I never said anything about it to anyone and I never saw it again.

Live Oak Cemetery

Me and my sister were at a cemetery behind my house in the swamp and the dates go back all the way to 1776. One night at around 3 o’clock in the morning with a video camera and we didn’t see anything in person. The next morning when we looked over it we seen 1 figure of a female in a long draped dress gliding over the ground and went behind a old oak tree. The oak tree still has a rope in it were I suppose they hung slaves. The cemetery is called live oak cemetery. Also the land we lived on was once called live oak plantation.

Buena Vista Plantation-

The plantation house was used for a Civil War hospital clinic. In the house there are reports if several Civil War apparitions have been seen. There are several slave houses out in the front where eerie feelings are felt. In 70 degree weather it sometimes feels very cold and there have been reports of water being found completely covering the floor while it was still days away from rain.

Grand Coteau

Saint Charles Borromea College-

This building was an old Ursuline Convent that is now used as a preliminary training center for the Society of Jesus religious order. An old priest is seen wandering the halls there.

Greenwell Springs-

I lived in Greenwell Springs, LA for over 5 years. I even graduated from Central High back in 1991. My family’s home was less than 5 miles from the Greenwell Springs Hospital (a mental facility). A friend of mine years later was a psychiatric evaluator at that same hospital. In all these years, the only stories I’ve heard about the area was that it was illegal to pick up hitchhikers on the long and winding Greenwell Springs Road, for fear that they were escaped patients. If anything, the mysterious Frenchtown Road has interesting stories by many, including myself. My grandparents had a home on Frenchtown Road from the time of my birth until my mid 20s. There is even a breakoff road named Planchet, which is the name given to the movable disc for Ouija boards. My uncle even claimed to have seen what he refered to as a sort of yeti, or what is commonly referred to in the south as a skunk ape. However, he also enjoyed his marijuana in his younger years.

In a local residence in greenwell springs I was in a truck near I saw a large white man I looked again and it was gone. I ran out of the truck in fear looked back and saw a figure of a face in the side mirror it looked like a cold pale face but very bright I fell in terror. And I will never go back there again.

There have been a sighing of a headless person behind your car, at night you can hear moaning, heart beats, and beating on the old iron gate.

The Jungle Rock Club-

Old nightclub that has been reopened after many years of being closed down. Since remodling has started voices, loud bangs{almost like a firecracker} in the restrooms, tools disappearing. Rumor is the original owner committed suicide in the men’s restroom by shooting himself.

Hamond

Hi, I went to Martha vineyard in 6th grade. I have seen a dark male my age, a descendent a of the Boudreaux family. I only saw him out of  the corner of my eye when I saw this I heard a frog crocking. My teacher is related to the voodoo queen of New Orleans. She said that she and her friend had brought the students back from lunch and they never saw the boy again. This event happened on Halloween. My teacher accidentally put a spell on her room and from 12 am to midnight on Halloween you should never light candles,  try to film a ghost, or call spirits. If you can not  see the light from a flash light completely through your finger that means you’re a descendent of the Boudreaux family and never let someone cast a fake spell because it can really happen to you. Martha vineyard is built on an old funeral hame, and cemetery every night at mid night the ghosts walk the halls there is a power full evil ghost there.

My friends and I were at an old barn. It was torn down about 5 years ago. When we were there. the door opened and closed rapidly. There was no wind or anything that could possibly have done this.

At my barn. Me and some friends have been trying to see if we can find a ghost. So one of my friends named victoria statred talking to it. It would bang for its answers. When I took pictures we got tons of orbs and even a ghostly voice in a video I recorded. It was really scary.

I went to homer high school last year,and in the summer my step dad was having a dive class. I got really bored so I went into the computer room. After finding a few games I could play, I started hearing stuff and then a big bang. I jerked my head up, and saw a shadow float away.

I have had many ghost experiences, but several I will tell about now. I have seen the ghost of a middle-aged woman (her hair is in a bun, she wears an old middle-aged dress), I have seen her at night walk into my grandparents bedroom and then disappear. Another ghost I have seen is that of two full-grown black labrador retrievers (seen them walkin around in my pasture and then disappear). I have heard many strange noises and sounds that have let me to believe that they were indeed made my ghosts, such as the sounds of: howling next to me but nothing was there, growls, a female child screaming for help from my closet in my bedroom, someone calling my name when im nowhere around anyone, loud barking noises next to me, dog breathing and panting noises next to my ear as I lay on my bed, scratching noises on my screen of my bedroom window, banging noises on the wall in the bathroom, foot step noises, computer keyboard typing noises, whispering noises, etc. I have experienced ghosts when I went up to my Granny’s Mama’s old house. There I had the front door slam in my face when it wasn’t even a windy day at all, and ghosts in that house have trapped me there for a while. There were many places in the house that I couldve gotten out, but somehow it was like they wouldnt let me get out. It only lasted for a short while and then my brother came back up to the house with me and it all stopped and I was free to get out of the house. Also, when I was really young, my favorite cat, Sylvestor died mysteriously, and when I found out, I was devastated so I ran outside and walked up to a fence at the side of our house, and layed my head face down on top of the fence and started crying. Suddenly, I began to hear cat noises right at my feet, so I raised my head up off the fence and peered down at my feet, and there was nothing there, but I could still hear the cat noises clearly. Constantly, every single day and night, every second, I feel as though I am being watched by something or someone and it never stops. I have almost went completely insane because of all this. People say that I have a gift to see unbelievable things. I believe them, and for whosoever does not believe, I can promise you that someday you will experience these things and it will change your life forever!.

It’s a long, curvy road. There have been sightings of ghosts hitch hiking and if you stop and pick them up you can exchange someone with you for some treasure.

Coteua Road

Eerie figures seen wondering around the old metal sheds off on the distance of the grazing fields. Be careful driving, a foggy figure may run past your car causing an accident.

Oak Manor Cow Graveyard-

Many a times people have reported sounds of mooing and seeing white, clear cow figures grazing. Some people even say they are coming after them and scaring them off the roads.

It is said that the plantation owner raped and killed slaves and you can see figures on the windows during the day and mostly at night.
